Game Objective
Challenge your feline gamer to make their game piece's fringes scurry across the floor to drop out the desired treats!
Game Players
1 Brave Whiskers Socializer & 1 Green or Orange Jalapeno Feline
Materials / Components / Setup
- Collect scissors, 1 cardboard toilet paper roll, 10 temptations treats, and catnip.
- Rub fresh catnip or sprinkle dried catnip all over the inside of the roll.
- At both ends of the cardboard toilet paper roll, cut vertical slits 1/4th of the way down the body of the roll.
- Fold in the fringes on one side of the toilet paper roll, making a loose seal.
- Fill the fringed toy with the treats. Optionally, add additional catnip in!
- Fold the open end of the fringed toy loosely in the make a flimsy seal.

How to Play / Rules
- Open the kennel door and place the game pieces in the center of the kennel, away from the litterbox.
- Close the door and allow the feline to investigate the game.
- Encourage the cat to bat, bite, toss, wrestle, and paw the game. Demonstrate interaction if necessary.
- Record how the feline interacted with the game.
Scoring / Winning the Game
Each retrieved treat is 1 point. To win, the feline should hunt all treats successfully! Be sure to record the score and include the total points possible in your notes!
Special Situations / Safety / Fair Play Guidelines
- Always ensure that the feline is secured when opening and working in the kennel.
- Ensure there are no loose cardboard pieces the cat can ingest.
Variations / Levels
This game can be customized. You can fill with favorite treats, catnip, and favorite toys! Smelly inserts work best with this game.
Safety Reminder
All enrichment activities should be supervised by shelter staff. Remove any damaged components immediately and discontinue use if a cat attempts to ingest any portion of the enrichment item. Select materials appropriate for the individual cat's age, health status and behavioral history.
